Terms of Use and Notes

The following notes describe the general use of the functions provided on Elapp in a factual and deliberately cautious way.

1. Scope of the website

Elapp provides free browser-based online tools, especially for documents, media, images, codes and smaller text-related tasks.

2. Free availability

The current version of the provided functions is available free of charge. There is no entitlement to particular features, a specific feature scope or the unchanged continuation of individual tools.

3. Availability

The website is provided with the aim of reliable operation. However, there is no claim to constant, uninterrupted or error-free availability. Maintenance, technical problems or platform changes may lead to limitations.

4. Tool results

The tools are built for practical everyday use. Results can vary depending on the source file, format, browser, device or other technical conditions. No guarantee is given for specific, fully identical or universally suitable results in every individual case.

5. Responsibility for content

Users are responsible for processing, uploading or converting only content for which they have the required rights of use, editing and conversion. Use for unlawful content or unlawful purposes is not permitted.

6. Privacy-conscious use

The platform is deliberately built to be privacy-conscious. Where technically possible, processing happens directly in the browser. This does not mean that every file can be processed fully locally and without any technical variation in every environment.

7. Liability

Liability is governed by the applicable statutory provisions. To the extent permitted by law, liability for slight negligence is limited to cases involving a breach of essential contractual obligations. This does not affect liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, or other cases where liability is mandatory by law.

8. Changes

Content, functions and notes on this website may be adjusted, expanded, limited or removed if this is required for technical, organisational or legal reasons.
